Change products by formula, not by machine — the config differences across five categories explained
VFFS Machine Series — for food business owners and packaging buyers

Cover: five product categories on one VFFS line — change formula, not machine
Why is the VFFS the “universal machine” of food packaging? Because its filler and add-ons are matched to the material, while the machine body is shared. This article explains the five most common categories one by one: what to pack, what to configure, what to watch.
01 Snacks: Multihead + Gas Flush — Anti-Crush, Anti-Oxidant
• Filler: multihead weigher or cup/vibratory — light, brittle snacks need gentle feeding, no crushing;
• Freshness: nitrogen flushing replaces oxygen, keeping chips and biscuits from going soft;
• Watch: gas makes the bag swell — fine-tune gas volume per bag style, don't burst the pouch (see burst-diagnosis experience).
02 Coffee Beans/Powder: One-Way Valve Pouches Lock the Aroma
• Filler: multihead for beans, auger for powder — steady dosing, no dust escape;
• Packaging: one-way valve pouch — roasted coffee keeps degassing; the valve lets gas out but no oxygen in;
• Freshness: nitrogen flush + high-barrier laminate extends shelf life;
• Watch: coffee powder dust is heavy — spec wear-resistant seals and auger.

03 Pet Food: Big Bags + Eye-Mark Length
• Filler: multihead or cup for kibble — large-diameter delivery, no jamming;
• Pouch: big sizes (1-10 kg) — pick the model by your maximum film width and length;
• Appearance: for printed bags, eye-mark registration keeps the pattern aligned — brand image lives on the pouch;
• Watch: thick film for big bags needs resealed temperature — don't reuse thin-film settings.
04 Tea: Tear Notch + N2 Flush, Stand-Up Display
• Filler: multihead/cup for whole leaf, auger or vibratory for broken tea — gentle on fragile leaves;
• Pouch: stand-up pouch with tear notch — stands on the shelf, easy to open;
• Freshness: nitrogen flush — green tea oxidizes and discolors fast;
• Watch: stems and dust abrade — choose wear-resistant auger and seals.

05 Powders/Seasoning: Auger + Dust-Tight Sealing
• Filler: auger — dosing by turns, stable and precise;
• Dust control: the bag mouth hugs the fill tube — powder stays in, workshop stays clean;
• Anti-blocking: clump-prone materials get an agitator/vibration (see down-tube anti-blocking experience); ultra-fine powders risk bridging;
• Watch: empty the hopper when switching powder grades — density changes every dosing parameter.

Final Thoughts
One machine, many products works when the filler and add-ons are completed at selection time. Snacks, coffee, pet food, tea, powders — each has its temper. Configure right, and one machine carries a multi-product line.
